Kitchens were once a place for simple food preparation with small dining areas. Times have changed and today’s kitchen is now the focal point of many homes. Whether you are serving a small family meal or hosting a casual get together for friends, the kitchen has become the gathering spot.
In addition to being handsome and functional, today’s kitchen must reflect the owner’s personality, style and way of life. KMJ will design your kitchen with this in mind, creating a balance between functionality, personality and style.
When planning your kitchen we ask some important questions:
- How much and what kind of storage space is needed?
- Do you need more dedicated counter space?
- Is seating at a counter for a quick meal desirable?
- How many cooks in the family?
- What kind of food do you cook?
The answers to these and many other questions will be used in developing an initial design upon which we will build the remaining kitchen details: lighting, countertop materials, backsplash details, flooring and cabinet finishes. Attention needs to be paid to the entire area in order to develop a beautiful kitchen that encompasses the entire space as well as any adjoining spaces.
